Abstract

"Employment and unemployment subjects gained importance for European Union in 1990s. Because, EU faced with low employment and high unemployment rates at this stage. European Employment Strategy was introduced to cope with these problems in a coordinated way. In this paper, initially, why European Employment Strategy arose has been explained. After its results are examined, the future prospects will be gone through."

Özet

İstihdam ve işsizlik konusu Avrupa Birliği(AB) için 1990'lı yıllarda önem kazanmıştır. Çünkü bu dönemde birlik düzeyinde düşük istihdam oranları ve yüksek işsizlik oranları ile karşılaşılmıştır. Bu sorunların üzerine planlı ve programlı bir şekilde gitmek için bu dönemde Avrupa İstihdam Stratejisi ortaya konulmuştur.

Bu çalışmada öncelikle Avrupa İstihdam Stratejisi'nin ortaya çıkış nedenleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Ardından bu stratejinin uygulama sonuçları tartışılmıştır. Son olarak bu stratejinin gelecekte alacağı biçim açıklanmıştır.
