ABOUT İŞ, GÜÇ

İş, Güç, The Journal of Industrial Relations and Human Resources is a refereed, scientific electronic journal, which is published two times a year (June and December). Initial aim of the journal ,which publish the articles on work life, is to contribute to the academic development and sharing.

PRECONDITION

İş, Güç publishes papers in Turkish and English. The papers submitted to İş, Güç must be unpublished in elsewhere, or not synchronically be in the review process of another publication. İş, Güç owns the copyright of the papers published. If the empirical data are demanded by the referee(s) in the review process, author(s) should share them. It's necessity that these data not be used in another study.

SUBMISSION

Three hard copies of the paper and an electronic copy contained in a floppy-disk or CD should be sent to the address below and an electronic version to info@isgucdergi.org. In one of the copies, a seperate cover page should be prepared and in that, title of the paper, and the personal information (name, e-mail and postal address, telephone and affiliations) should be attached. In the other two copies, no cover page and personal information will be included.

SIZE

Manuscripts should be approximately 25-30 pages long including endnotes, references and appendices. Papers should be typed in Word 6.0/7.0 or Word 97 as to be used in Windows. Contributions must be typed in double spacing with wide margins by 11 size of Times New Roman style.

ABSTRACT

Papers should be preceded by an Abstract of around 100 words and written in italic type in addition to five key words in both English and Turkish. The first sentences should include the date employed, method and the aim of the paper. In the following sentences, the concise statement of the results and conclusions should be offered.

INTRODUCTION

Within the extent of this section, which covers around 3-4 paragraphs, a concise description of the study and the points by which the study diverges from the others should be given. The detailed inclusion of the results and their conclusions should be avoided.

HEADINGS

Approximately, there should be headings on each 2-3 pages and the long paragraphes should be avoided. The headings can be numbered beginning from the introduction.

headings and sub-headings can be given without numbers, in which case the latter should be given in italic type.

FOOTNOTES

In-text

Scientific style should be used for in-text quotations. The parameters should be in the order of surname, date and page number (Keser, 2005:180).
For two-author papers (Erdem and Özen, 2003:55).
In case of more than two authors (Mishel et al., 2001:125).

In-text quotations more than one should be ordered chronologically (Keser, 2005:184; Bozkurt, 2003: 125).
In case the authors refer to their respective studies, '-' should be used in both in-text and references.

Explanatory Notes
Explanatory notes should be at the end of the article.

TABLES
Complex statistical tables should be included as appendixes. In text, concise and descriptive tables are given. Tables and figures should be numbered in a row and each be given in separate pages.

CONCLUSION

It should be no longer than two pages. In this section, the results should be stated in concise and in terms of their contributions to the related literature.
